Terms of Service

1. Who we are
Sage (the “Game”, “Service”) is operated by TOTAL-MAT CONSULTING SRL, a company registered in Romania (VAT/CUI RO34423480, [nr. înregistrare Reg. Com. — de completat: J.../.../...]), with its registered office at [adresa sediului social — de completat] (“we”, “us”, “our”). The Service is available at sageduel.com. 2. The Service
Sage is a browser-based game of deduction. It offers a free tier and an optional paid Premium subscription that unlocks additional features (such as Hardcore mode, the Grandmaster rival, ranked play and the daily archive). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
3. Accounts
You can play as a guest or create an account by signing in with an email magic link or with Google. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email or Google account you use to sign in, and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account. One person may not maintain multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage in ranked play.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- cheat, use bots, scripts or automation, or otherwise manipulate ranked ratings, the leaderboard or the daily puzzle;
- disrupt, overload, probe or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- reverse engineer, resell, or reproduce the Service except as permitted by law;
- use the Service for any unlawful, abusive or infringing purpose.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, including removing ratings gained through cheating.
5. Premium subscription & billing
Premium is a recurring subscription (currently €2.99 per month, price shown at checkout). Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for the sale and handles billing, applicable taxes and invoicing. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Lemon Squeezy’s terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account page (which opens the Lemon Squeezy customer portal); cancellation stops future renewals and you keep Premium access until the end of the period already paid for.
6. Refunds

7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its code, artwork, text and design, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your mandatory consumer rights.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where required by law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above; continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence in the EU.
